Possible addition of information

Untitled

I was wondering if there were any sources to add that would allow more information to be posted on how the people of the city of Los Angeles handled the outbreak. Did it cause a panic? How exactly did the eradication of diseased rats work? How did the media handle this? Alczdx ( talk) 16:52, 25 September 2020 (UTC) reply

Addition of a new Government Response section

I am adding a new section to cover the government response to the plague. This section covers the measures taken to contain the plague, as well as the media coverage. Scmnr8 ( talk) 17:24, 6 November 2020 (UTC) reply

Addition of a Racism in the governemnt response section

I am adding a section that covers the racism running rampant through the governments response to the plague outbreak that also includes some general racism that was seen in Los Angeles at the time Alczdx ( talk) 17:42, 6 November 2020 (UTC) I am adding more to the this section Alczdx ( talk) 05:29, 13 November 2020 (UTC) I will be adding another paragraph to this section talking about the border control put on the quarantine Alczdx ( talk) 19:56, 4 December 2020 (UTC) reply

Addition of a Background Section

I am adding a background section to the article that focuses on the Mexican population in Los Angeles in the 1920's including living conditions, how Mexicans were perceived, and otehr background that contributes to the purpose of knowing why only one district of Los Angeles was affected by the outbreak. Changing and Adding the the epidemiology Section

I noticed that the information on the Epidemiology Section was generalized and did not contain a timeline of the events, so I am rearranging the section and adding more information that is date specific that paints a picture of how the disease spread so quickly over the course of a month. I have not deleted previous work except for a couple sentences, just rearranged previous information into a timeline.

Also, whoever wrote the previous epidemiology section, a lot of the sentences do not have a source at the end of them. To make this page more accurate could this person link their sentences to sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Myokgy ( talkcontribs) 19:52, 7 November 2020 (UTC) reply
