Jim (horse) →
1901 diphtheria antitoxin contamination incident – The real occurrence of historical significance here is the scandal involving the contamination of the diphtheria supply with tetanus, which led to substantial reforms in pharmaceutical oversight. The horse itself is an interesting footnote in this story, but is really not the story. Move and rewrite the lede to make this about the incident, with the lede sentence on the horse moved to a section.
