While I acknowledge that Celtic did have an all-Scottish squad, I don't think this is comparable due to differences in the administrative units between Scotland and East Germany. I currently don't have time to search for add'l material to support my stance, but will do so later tonight.

The abbreviation FC stands for Fußballclub. Thus, the full name that should appear in the infobox is 1. Fußballclub Magdeburg. It is true the club itself doesn't commonly use this full name, which is part of the reason the abbreviation is used in the title and text of this article. — 37 (talk) 12:13, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
