I think spelling of the name of this article, Zoönomia, is incorrect. Erasmus' grandson Charles refers to the book as Zoonomia in his preface to the Origin of Species, the "Historical Sketch". Britannica uses the same spelling. The Gutenberg Project's etext uses that spelling, too. The diacritics here are apparently a superfluous affectation added by a Wikipedian. -- 82.18.14.143 ( talk) 15:11, 30 August 2008 (UTC) reply

Agreed. I'll try to change it. Viriditas ( talk) 10:21, 8 April 2009 (UTC) reply

How incredibly sad that it took seven months for someone to implement this move. Looks like everyone is busy working on the Pokemon articles... Viriditas ( talk) 10:32, 8 April 2009 (UTC) reply

I think I traced the use of the o with an Umlaut by the original editor to Bowlby, John. (1992) Charles Darwin: A New Life. W. W. Norton & Company. ISBN  0393309304. No idea, however, why Bowlby is the only one that uses it. Viriditas ( talk) 13:02, 8 April 2009 (UTC) reply
