This article was created in August 2006 by Mohsentrans with the line: with a population of about 200000 without a citation. In checking a number of sources, it appears that the current (2009) population of the city (not the old district) is about 110,000. The Arabic Wikipedia article on Zliten currently lists the 200,000 figure, marked with a request for a citation. -- Bejnar ( talk) 14:33, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

So, now being reported that cimate change has caused increased precipitation, which is raising the water table, to such a level, vhat it reaches ground level, and floods the lab, causing overflowing septic systems and sewage on the ground. This should probably be in the history and climate sections, and water resources. [1] [2] -- 65.92.247.66 ( talk) 23:09, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
