The following entries have been copied from Talk: Dornier Rs III
Aviastar and other Russian websites
All of the Russian aviation websites are deeply frowned upon due to their constant infringement of copyrights. They are not acceptable as references but can be quoted as External links as long as they are not use for citations.

I was under the impression that even as external links they are off limits? Since most list their sources, it is possible to hunt down the original reference and use those though.

The correct designation was Zeppelin-Lindau Rs.III - Dornier did a substantial amount of self promotion after Zeppelin-Lindau had been wound down and Zeppelin was out of the airplane business, and chose to substitute his own name for that of the manufacturer in several books he wrote, which because of the paucity of materials about the types, has since been repeated ad nauseum. This would be analogous to Kurt Tank writing about the Tank Ta 152, and everyone thereafter forgetting about Focke-Wulf. Dornier Rs.III now redirects to Zeppelin-Lindau Rs.III to catch anyone who has been caught out by this (and I don't think it is a sufficiently well known aircraft to use the "popular name" exception, as these were not
Concordes or
Blackbirds.
