This is my first article so there are probably some minor quirks here and there..

I appreciate any contributions/corrections.

I have actually seen the propagnada videos of exercise Zapad -81 and I found them very amusive and impressive. The sheer scale of the Soviet war machine was certainly impressive and must have scared the hell out of the western world when first released...
