I don't think it stands a chance of wining the competition, brief was, Mediterranean looks, colors and feel, as well as 12-16 Jetways and terminal size 70-80 000sqm. But it should give you idea of what some architects where thinking. Mic of orion ( talk) 18:44, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Should we add JAL charter flights as well, JAL announced they'll increase number of Charter flights this season, they plan to fly 04 times to Zagreb in July, August and early Septembear, can someone verify this and post relevant info about it, thanx :)
Korean Air is also starting 4 charter flights this year and JAL is to increase its frequency to one flight a week over summer months, last year it had 8 charter flights, this means this year it might have 12 or 16 flights to Croatia.
Who and why removed some of the images from the gallery? Please don t do this again. Mate Balota 01:02, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Not sure how wikipedia functions on corrections, but the destination airports listed under EasyJet are all wrong. EasyJet DOES NOT fly from Zagreb to London Luton (Wizzair used to do it, the service has been discontinued. EasyJet does fly to LONDON GATWICK (beginning February 11th), there's also a service to PARIS CHARLES DE GAULLE which has been running since December 2010, and another one to DORTMUND in Germany - this service begins on February 17th. All this information is confirmed on www.easyjet.com - it pops up during ticket booking procedures as long as you put ZAGREB as an origin airport. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PowerLock ( talk • contribs)

Here are evidences for officially rename of airport that Government of Croatia has done: Government's decision, Media report - Croatian Radiotelevision, Media report on English. Accordingly, I did change. ZPσβ ( talk) 03:29, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
(Copied text)
"Hello. I mentioned your edit on Zagreb International Airport and read explanation. Just a few words about last case of airport's name. I saw that you're native Croatian speaker so you're able to read Croatian news media. In these past few days, some media reports made a confusion about correct and full name of airport. Articles like these ones jutarnji and vecernji are obviously unprofessionally written because journalists don't even know a distinction between terms "airport" and "terminal" or on Croatian "zračna luka" and "terminal". In these article, journalists first publish that the whole airport will be named after president Tuđman (which is normal act in whole world), and then after in their text mention that only a new built terminal will be named (!) "Zračna luka Franjo Tuđman" or in English "Franjo Tuđman Airport" (what a joke!).
So, we can conclude that articles like these ones aren't the best source of information. I think that the only way to get a correct information is official website of Croatian Government (or official Twitter profile). There I found this document which is accepted at the meeting of Government. At first point in document, it is clear that Government renamed airport, not the terminal. The name of airport, according to Government decision in document, is "Zračna luka Franjo Tuđman/Airport Franjo Tuđman".
However, the new terminal of airport is mentioned at explanation of Govrnm. decision. But in goal to achieve a finish of this discussion and resolve misunderstandings, I suggest to hear what a competent Minister who proposed renaming of airport said in video: About name of airport at 0:17 ..."Čitav kompleks (eng. The whole complex)...nove i stare zračne luke/terminali(eng. of new and old airport/terminals)...će se zvati po prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku(eng. will be named after first Croatian president). So, the new terminal will not be only named after president Tuđman but the whole airport.
Sorry for eventually taking your time but I hope that I help you with these informations if you were maybe misguided. Best regards, ZPσβ ( talk) 00:41, 1 March 2016 (UTC)"

I'm still unconvinced about using the long name, basically over WP:COMMONNAME concerns. Maybe input from more users will shed light on this.-- Jetstreamer Talk 16:43, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
FFS, this wikipedia is full of examples that accuracy is more important than some commonality, from HIV/AIDS or Martin Luther King Jr. onwards. WP:COMMONNAME can be (and/or should be) redirect to full, official name, in this case.
Lets talk about few examples from WP:COMMONNAME:
But as stated above, Martin Luther King Jr. and HIV/AIDS are clear examples that article names can be longer, more descriptive, although Martin Luther King would surely not be mistaken for anybody else than Martin Luther King Jr., or AIDS would not be mistaken for any other disease but that caused by HIV, even if name would be just AIDS.
Yes, names should be common, but they should be also distinctive enough, and Zagreb actually have two airports, although only one of them is international. If Zagreb (Lučko) airport by chance become international, should encyclopedia (wikipedia) change article names of both articles, one related (Zagreb (Lučko) airport) and one not related (MZLZ "Franjo Tuđman")? Once again, yes, names should be common, but that commonality should be adhered to with some sense, with some brains attached to. Finally, WP:COMMONNAME says:
Wikipedia generally prefers the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources) as such names will usually best fit the criteria listed above.
I do not see any must or have to above, there is only generally prefers, and that means, once again, commonality should be adhered to with some sense. Speedy Gonsales 16:31, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: moved back to Zagreb Airport for now. The airport does have a new official name, as reported by the media just a couple months ago, but common names are generally preferred over official names as article names. I note that the airport previously was named Pleso Airport, after the nearby small town named Pleso. The stub about the town was redirected to the airport on 22 October 2012, but the airport article has never been named "Pleso". However there was a content fork at Zagreb International airport which was merged to Zagreb Airport on February 10, 2006. Arguments supporting a move to "Franjo Tuđman" point out that there are several similarly named airports in eastern Europe. However, those tend to have a stronger brand identity based on logos such as File:Logo gdansk airport.jpg, File:Warsaw chopin airport logo.png and File:Aerodrom Beograd - Nikola Tesla (logo).gif, and I have not found a similar logo for this airport. Noting that this new name is connected to the construction of the new Terminal 2, which is expected to open later this year, I suggest waiting until the new terminal opens – perhaps then a new logo will be unveiled, or the website will show the new name, or signs will be erected with the new name, which a local editor may photograph and upload to Wikipedia. However, if the French firm ZAIC which has the concession for this terminal, chooses a different name, we'll probably need to have another discussion. As "International" was added to our title a year ago, following a very thinly attended discussion, and there does not now seem to be a firm consensus for that, I'm reverting to the previous name. Please do submit a new request after the new terminal opens, and hopefully there will be a new logo on the website and signs on and near the terminal to support the move at that time. wbm1058 ( talk) 02:32, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport – There has been an informal discussion regarding the airport name above on this talk page, and also at
