There is a move request at Talk:Yvette that watchers of this article may be interested in. Egsan Bacon ( talk) 02:48, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: Moved. Though Egsan Bacon has quite thoroughly shown that Yvette (river) should not be the primary topic, the question before us now is whether Yvette (given name) should take priority over the DAB at the base name. His evidence does show that people are most likely coming here to learn about the given name, so the move appears justified. We should note that an IP editor has improved the DAB page somewhat since this request was opened. Incidentally, the French article on the Yvette river is much better than ours. {{
requested move/dated}}
– A month ago, we had a discussion establishing solidly that the Yvette River was not the primary topic for the name Yvette. At the time, several participants suggested that they felt the name should be considered the primary topic. I agree that this common French name should be considered to have long-term significance over the minor river, and I wanted to see if pageviews supported that that was what people were looking for. It is: in the past 30 days, the article on the name has been viewed 1047 times, and the article on the river only 80 times, a ratio of 13:1 in favor of the name. Even the disambiguation page, which only has links to these two Yvettes, was viewed 427 times, a ratio of over 5:1 over the river, which suggests that most people who got there were looking for the article about the name. Since the name meets both criteria of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, it should be the primary topic. Egsan Bacon ( talk) 14:32, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
