Does anyone know what he does for a living? As an amateur, he presumably has some job.-- Silverback 22:28, 24 March 2006 (UTC) reply

He's a pro, playing professional ball in Cuba. - Colin Kimbrell 14:30, 25 March 2006 (UTC) reply
No, all athletes in Cuba are considered amateurs and have other jobs. Castro outlawed professional sports in 1961. Players are rewarded, though—they are given time off and compensation for playing. However, I don't know what Gourriel's job is. -- BRMo 17:09, 25 March 2006 (UTC) reply
Huh, never knew that. That's why I love it here, learn something new every day. - Colin Kimbrell 17:53, 25 March 2006 (UTC) reply

Cuban players ...

... are "amateurs" in name only. They all have no-show jobs as "physical therapists" in keeping with Castro's sham "amateurism."—Preceding unsigned comment added by 33139 ( talkcontribs) 01:11, 30 July 2006

Yulieski doesnt have a job, cause he's currently studying at college. I really don't remember exactly was he's studying but in spanish is called Cultura Fisica. I talked to him at the Centroamerican Games, where Cuba took the Gold Medal.

He lives with his family. (Mom, little bro ). He has a girlfriend that isnt from Cuba.

Also the article doesnt metion that Cuba also is the Sub-Champion of the Pre-Olimpic Championship celebrated at La Havana.

He made the All-Stars Team of the World Classic, Pre-Olimpic, Panam Games & Centroamerican Games.
