The de-wiki-link edits I did were to pages that do not exist. What is the point in linking to something that doesn't exist? -- Rockfang ( talk) 22:21, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
The cheerleading in this article for this historical group is blatant. This article is in severe need of a rewrite (possibly a complete one) that is both properly referenced and assumes a neutral point of view toward the subject. Iamcuriousblue ( talk) 21:00, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
Although I do not agree with Iamcuriousblue's claim that the article needs a complete re-write, I do acknowledge there are several sections in which so-called "cheerleading" for this group is evident. Certain claims made in the article, such as; "Subsequent to the 1994 civil war the party's infrastructure and resources were confiscated by the GPC government and its cadres and members are regularly subjected to unwarranted arrests and torture. As a result, at the last legislative elections on 27 April 2003, the party only won 3.8% of the popular vote and eight out of 301 seats in the House of Deputies, the Parliament." display overt blame on the GPC, and thusly cannot be employed as in an academic capacity. This fact has been suggested by several scholars and political analysts, but its wording implies this is a fact, when it cannot be proven as such. Another section in the article displays bias, and arguably incorrect facts; "Currently, the YSP along with other parties in the opposition coalition, including Islah Party are waging a peaceful struggle for free and fair elections, peaceful transfer of power, and reformation of the Yemeni political system." Recent events would sugggest that the YSP has been involved in several violent campaigns, as well as having unclear ties to the southern seccesionist movement in Yemen which has been proven to be involved in guerilla warfare and violent attacks in urban centers. I urge interested editors to discuss weather I have contributed vialbe suggestions or not, and to change the article based on the result of our discussion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aliwritesarticles ( talk • contribs) 15:51, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
