Name?

Any information on the origin of the name? Pee-stained pants??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.176.31.200 ( talk) 17:34, 2 August 2008 (UTC) reply

According a bottle of wine from the Allenberry Winery (I think thats right) located on the Breeches, the creek was named by soldiers during the Revolutionary war. When they tried to wash their pants or "britches" in the muddy creek they became stained yellow, thus Yellow Britches or Yellow Breeches. I cant necessarily cite that, and it may be just an old wives tale, but interesting none-the-less! Sigtauiota ( talk) 04:56, 9 April 2009 (UTC) reply
