Dictionnaire Infernal - Collin de Plancy (1863) (paraphrased)

Togans Spirit Guide
"a companion guide to renaissance spirits"
are some refrences
Name
Whatever Yan-Gant-Y-Tan means, it certainly isn't "wanderer in the night". 'Yann' is a proper name equivalent to 'John', 'gant' means 'with' and 'tan' means 'fire'. Therefore, it means something along the lines of 'John with the fire'.
