Xango WAS shut down for being a Pyramid Scheme in Italy

I think we should add it to the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.148.25.96 ( talk) 06:25, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Hmm... that was three years ago, and it looks like they've managed to reorganize in some way. Maybe? This link suggests that they are claiming that at least some of their problems in Europe were do to management problems they have since corrected. This link, which is probably not usable as a source, suggests that they paid a €250,000 fine in order to keep going in Italy. They have also recently issued press released saying they're provisionally members of Italy's direct selling association, but who knows if that's reliable. It's worth keeping an eye on. I believe we should add it to the article, regardless. It's part of the company's history, and if something similar is added on Herbalife's article, I fail to see why we shouldn't do that here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.165.27.246 ( talk) 01:31, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
Okay, I've added it. It would be nice to have more sources, though. Grayfell ( talk) 07:11, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
How about this as a source? It's the original source in Italian http://archiviostorico.corriere.it/2011/gennaio/03/Una_lobby_per_succo_esotico_co_9_110103017.shtml — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.165.27.246 ( talk) 21:38, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
That's actually the one I used. Since the Business For Home source was basically reprinting the Corriere article with very little additional commentary, I don't think the BFH article really qualifies as a separate source. I'm also on the fence about how reliable BFH is as a news org (it seems like it's mostly just one guy, and by their own admission their objective is to show MLMs in a positive light [1]). I've look around for other sources, but I haven't found anything yet. Grayfell ( talk) 22:16, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
It looks like they're currently a member of Italy's Direct Selling Association, it:Avedisco ( [2]). Some DSAs are more significant than others though, and I still can't find any recent sources explaining the situation. Grayfell ( talk) 23:28, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
