Serious concerns with this article

I have some serious concerns with this article.

  • The article name is XC Fairmont GXL, yet the article itself is clearly about the whole Ford XC Falcon range , not just the Fairmont GXL trim level
  • The article has been create with no regard to the existing series of Australian Ford Falcon articles, including the article “Ford XC Falcon”
  • The bulk of the article is a statistical summary of the XC Falcon, seemingly lifted straight from http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/falcon_XC_technical_specifications.htm
  • The article is written in a somewhat biased tone
  • Most of its references are very vague (e.g. Ford Motor Corporation of Australia, Ford Owners Club of Australia, Wheels Magazine road tests) and therefore the information is not verifiable from those references
  • One of the vague references is “Peter. J. Balikoff (1968- ), 1970s Ford historian” – and the creator of the article is user “Balikoff”

I believe that the best solution to these issues is to move any relevant, verifiable information to the Ford XC Falcon page and delete this article. GTHO ( talk) 23:12, 4 October 2013 (UTC) reply

You probably know more about this than I do. Good catch on the copying of the specifications. I have no objections if you wish to merge this to another article and make this page into a redirect. That's the easiest way to take care of it. LionMans Account ( talk) 01:18, 20 October 2013 (UTC) reply
Merge some of the information regarding the Preproduction XC cobra's to the Ford Falcon Cobra, and creating Fairmont GXL as a sub-heading? Space alligator ( talk) 11:11, 8 November 2013 (UTC) reply
