Somebody removed the Indulgence stuff, claiming that there were no link with the WYD. Actually, I took it from the French article, where it is stated in the quotation that there were special indulgence for the WYD pilgrims. This is actually an important event that many Wikipedians care about, so whoever removed it was wrong to do so. You can read more about it here:

Also, I would add that, after I had added that part somebody else linked to the Mass. So there is interest in it. Furthermore, as mentioned in the statement, this group is receiving support from several members of the Church hierarchy. So it worth at least a couple of sentences to mention it.
Yes, their inclusion is noteworthy to this story, because it is a first time event. Look at the associated website and see the names of the hierarchs who will be offering Mass and meeting w/them. It would be difficult not to see this as a stand out of this year's event.
I'm not sure if this is appropriate, but I thought as a current event that Brother Roger's recent and tragic death should be included in the write up of the article. It certainly marred the beginning of World Youth Day. shaile 18:03, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
I just got mail from a friend in the WYD and another about the death of Brother Roger from the same maillist and I do think he was killed by someone who had lose a relative in the aircraft crash in Venezuela. I noticed it while watching news of a french channel and it claimed that some people in the airplane were going to WYD...
