Image:WEDlogo2006.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I believe that the section -Theme 2020 - is supposed to be Theme 2011. I am not absolutely sure, since I'm not an expert in this field, but here is a reference source: http://www.unep.org/wed/WEDThatWas/2011/

Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on

Some of my complaint is with the wording of the template, particularly "or a news article" and 'sensationalism' for different reasons. One can see some discussion of this sort of complaint at Template_talk:Cleanup-PR#Should_there_be_guidelines_for_when_editor_disagrees_with_a_tagging? and elsewhere on that Talk page. But as it appears on the WED page here, the template doesn't add enough constructive that I see and the 'sensationalism' allusion in particular seems gratuitous and inapplicable. I favor removing the PR template.
If the template is removed I would suggest replacing it with something like:
This article may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. The specific problem is: Dead links, identified and maybe not yet IDd (unep.org is now unenvironment.org; unep.org/wed is now, more or less, worldenvironmentday.global, for example). More non-UN citation-sources would also be good. Please help improve this article if you can. |
Please signal agreement or disagreement or other thoughts on one or both changes below. Thanks. Swliv ( talk) 18:48, 17 August 2019 (UTC)

Environment day is celebrated annually on June 5 and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. These acts help to protect nature and the planet earth. People are supposed to do good things for the natural environment and sustainability. It is run by the United Nations Environment programme
