The South African Woolworths company has nothing to do with American Woolworths. Marc and Spencer use to trade in SA but because of sanctioned they couldn't continue.
M&S never traded in SA. Woolworths has had a close relationship with M&S since 1947 and adopted it's retail principles, but apart from some occasional M&S product merchandised by Woolworths, M&S has never had any business operations in SA. M&S did own c12% of Woolworths in the 50's and early 60's — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buddocaster ( talk • contribs) 12:15, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
