I think that this article must mention that this story also inspired a poem by Ruben Dario called "Los motivos del Lobo" (The Wolf's Motives) which tells this story but with a twisted bitter ending. In the poem, the wolf instead of remaind its living within the village until it's death, the wolf after sometime living as Francis wanted, finds out that the human nature is worst than the wild instinc of the animals and gets back to its hunting, leaving Francis very sad and dissappointed. — Preceding
