Wasn't Witherite used for 'barium meals' as used in x-raying the human digestive / alimentary system. Didn't other (and less satisfactory) barium based alternatives have to be used when the last witherite mine closed? Stuffed cat ( talk) 18:14, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
