winterbourne vs. wadi
@
Chris j wood,
AKS.9955, and
Arms Jones: Do you know if "winterbourne" is a specifically British term or even phenomenon, or is it usable for most dry riverbeds which fill up after strong winter rains, such as a Middle Eastern wadi? Does it have a narrow geological definition, or is it just a regional word for seasonal stream? Thanks.
