Why is this called a Christmas song? It's just a winter song.
What is the public domain year of this song?? I think it's 2029. Is this right?? Georgia guy ( talk) 17:00, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
I have heard at least one version that has both the stanza about Parson Brown and the one about the Circus Clown. Das Baz, aka Erudil 18:50, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Hey, this is ridiculous, Tom Astor is a completely unknown German hillbilly country singer. MW9123 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.87.224.97 ( talk) 14:59, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
I swear I've heard versions where they said "James Brown" and another time, "Charlie Brown". Am I crazy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.157.193.129 ( talk) 17:07, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

The article mentions an alternate set of lyrics, but fails to give either the original lyrica or teh alleged alternate lyrics. not sure what the point is having an article about a popular song and not including the lyrics -- it this case the absence makes the claim of an "alternate version" of questionable validity. How would we know, without seeing them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.95.43.253 ( talk) 22:50, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
