the page was wrong, it said that he was born on the 24rd but when I read his biography it said that he was born on the 23rd at eleven o,clock, but wiki was close. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Boney9801 ( talk • contribs) 23:22, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
I have removed the following passage from the article, citing it as neither important nor relevant enough to the biography. JNW ( talk) 21:27, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on

Hi, I'm terrible at inserting art. But for me the most important work of Homer is the 1876 painting The Cotton Pickers. It is already in Commons and I would be grateful if someone could insert it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tvbarn ( talk • contribs) 13:37, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Some of the sources here do not necessarily make sense to what they are reference, for example, source 53 takes you to the US Postal Services website and does not mention what the author is referencing. This sentence also seems unnecessary: "Unlike many artists who were well known for working in only one art medium, Winslow Homer was prominent in a variety of art media, as in the following examples." Is there a reason the photo in the info box is only 20px? Is that an error or intentional? TheAmazingRaspberry ( talk) 01:50, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
