It's been documented in interviews with Betemit himself that the pronunciation of his name is Bay-tah-mee (silent t, as Betemit himself has said), but many broadcasters are still incorrectly pronouncing it. Although Betemit has said that he doesn't mind that broadcasters say his name wrong, that should not be grounds upon which an encyclopedic entry can then list the incorrect pronunciation as the correct one.
I'd like to second the above. Why is this incorrect pronunciation unable to be edited?
Should his date of birth be debated on the talk page instead of the main article? jj137 Talk 2:28, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
