I expanded this from the stub to start class, if just barely. Several sections need still expanding, such as economy. Perhaps someone local can provide some additional information and pictures? CindyBo 22:49, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Image:Williams Lake TimberWolves.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

As per my inline comment, this is a migratory p.r. title - Lillooet used to have it in the '70s-early'80s, and a few other places since. I don't think it should be "also known as" but mentioned somewhere else; maybe a brief article about the title and the p.r. campaign it's part of? Skookum1 ( talk) 16:57, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Changed CBC Radio One from AM 860 – CBRL, CBC Radio One to FM 92.1 – CBRL, CBC Radio One. CBC ceased broadcasting on AM 860 in the Williams Lake area prior to 7 December 2017, when they began broadcasting from FM 92.1. Jrradney ( talk) 02:46, 31 January 2018 (UTC) Made several minor edits to fix dead links, and provide in-text citations for some facts. Also, I changed the beginning of the history of Williams Lake to reflect recent decisions by the Supreme Court of Canada concerning relations between early settlers and the original inhabitants of the area. I removed the paragraph that mentioned the Williams Lake Stampede and Rick Hansen from the opening lead of the page. The information seems redundant given that it is already mentioned in the main article. That paragraph has existed in some form in the lead for more than a decade and was never removed as the information was expanded in the rest of the article. VarjoGr Ay Jay 21:04, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
