It would be hard to claim him to be pre-eminent over Sir Thomas Wyatt, the first translator of Petrarch and one of the great poets of Renaissance England ("They fle from me, that sometyme did me seke"), or Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, translator of Dante and author of "The Song of Hiawatha". Still gives him his props, though; his Eco and Calvino translations are brilliant.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.189.172.11 ( talk • contribs) 07:44, 5 September 2005

In the list of translations, each book has the title in English and then, if you look at "Edit source," the title in Italian. In the article, however, the title in Italian is automatically translated to English, sometimes differently from the first title in English, and sometimes without proper spacing. I don't know how to turn off the automatic translator. Maurice Magnus ( talk) 18:42, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
The same problem occurs after The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana in Biography. Maurice Magnus ( talk) 19:03, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
You're right; thanks. I'd been using Edge. Edge translated the webpage that you suggested I try. I went to William Weaver's entry using Chrome on Windows 10 (I don't know whether it's Chrome 92) and the Italian was not translated. Maurice Magnus ( talk) 01:18, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
