I don't think that picture is of the William Thompson this article is about. Dolores Dooley (see sources) reports having searched high and low for any likeness, whether pictorial or other, without success (including chasing rumours of a reported bust in a museum of atheism in Eastern Europe, prior to the collapse of official Communism - albeit it is likely that if it existed, the likeness was concocted to order, a not uncommon Stalinist practice).

There were a good number of people floating around at the time with the name William Thompson, including at least one in Cork. Helvetius ( talk) 16:54, 23 January 2013 (UTC) reply
