According to an article, Furst enlisted in the Confederate Army in 1861. Being that he would have been 9 years old, it seems that the source is suspect: Sylvan Schenthal, "Correspondence: Baltimore, M.D.," Billboard (Dec. 6, 1902), p.28.. - kosboot ( talk) 19:28, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
