This article mentions that Kempff was a composer, but it does not elaborate on what specific pieces he wrote. This, I believe, should be clarified. -- ~~MusicalConnoisseur~~ Got Classical? 04:55, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

There is an elaborate biography
on the official Wilhelm Kempff site which can probably be used to fill in some of the holes in this article. —Preceding

What was Kempff's stance vis-a-vis the Nazis during the Third Reich? The biographies of von Karajan and Furtwängler discuss this question at some length. Sca ( talk) 17:28, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
Currently the page has a sentence which states that Kempff played for Nazi leadership a few miles from the Auschwitz concentration camp. The reference given is Slipped Disc, which is a gossip blog and considered not reliable. MisterCSharp ( talk) 16:39, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
This pair of words is used in the article as a translation of part of a book title. It strikes me as a mistake of excessive literalism; shouldn't the English title be "Under the Zimbelstern", since the German name of that mechanism is actually what it's called in English as well? (Or, to put it more succinctly, I think Zimbelstern is an English loan-word from German and ought to be kept untranslated in the English version.) TooManyFingers ( talk) 06:57, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
(I do understand that if there's an existing translation of the entire book that is sold under this title, my complaint would be proven irrelevant.) TooManyFingers ( talk) 07:35, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
