Why is his name offered here as "Franklin?" His service record and Royal Navy Navy Lists indicate that it was "Frankland". DulcetTone ( talk) 13:17, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
I exchanged email with Paul Bevand, who cannot think of where he got "Franklin" from. His primary source does not use a middle name at all. I checked the first Gazette footnote herein, and it is "Frankland" there as well. Seeing as no one has a source that indicates and presently vouches for "Franklin", I changed it to that agreed upon by five strong sources. DulcetTone ( talk) 22:10, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
