I am surprised at what has been stated here as to the identity of Pratt from whom Pratt's wharf takes its name. My information was that the name appears on a canal map thought to date from the 1770s. Furthermore, an association with James Pratt who was a parter in Wilden ironworks from 1779 seems more probable that that with a resident of Worcester much later. I may be wrong, but please provide furhter justification. Peterkingiron 23:07, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Some one had added a link to this article to a Bedfordshire page. This is wrong because the article is about a place in Worcestershire. If there is another Wilden in Beds., the correct course of action is to move the present article to be Wilden (Worcs.) and create a new article about the place in Bedfordshire; perhpas there should also be one about Wilden Ferry, where the Trent and Mersey Canal joins the River Trent.
