I am updating the population to match the 2010 census. One other area that needs to be updated (or simply remove the old stats) is the land area, which has changed as Whitesburg annexed additional territory. MarkWKidd ( talk) 05:18, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
John Daugherty White reference to naming of Whitesburg is incorrect. White wasn't born until 1849, six years after the post office opened with the name "Whitesburgh."
It's possible it was named for White's uncle, John White, who was Speaker of the House of Representatives at the time the Whitesburgh Post Office was commissioned, but I have no evidence of this. Does anyone else have anythought? Letcherwater ( talk) 16:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Had to revert User:JamesWiley's edits per WP:COATRACK. Does the user's edits mean a whole lot to the article's quality? I do not think so. Your thoughts??? Willking1979 ( talk) 17:19, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
