When this bloody war is over

During the first world war, British soldiers sang a sardonic song to the same tune: "When this bloody war is over" http://www.airbornerecce.com/dtroop/music/bloodyw.htm Ogg 20:08, 7 June 2007 (UTC) reply

On a similar note, here in Pennsylvania we had a Representative named Stephen Friend. He was so far to the right, he was mocked, even by staunch conservatives. They would sing, "What a Jesus we have in Friend". Joefromrandb ( talk) 16:41, 25 September 2013 (UTC) reply

New (old) version on Commons

I have uploaded an old version of this song from the collections of Museum of Ethnography to Commons. The quality is what might be expected by a recording made in 1911, but it might be useful as a sound illustration to this article. / Axel Pettersson (WMSE) ( talk) 11:10, 18 May 2018 (UTC) reply
