Is "kithouse" a particular term for these specific houses? I've certainly never heard it used before, even though I lived in the area briefly in the 1970s, but perhaps it was used within the armed services?
I'd suggest changing the word to "prefab" which is a term widely used for houses produced hurredly during and after WWII. Usefully, there is an article in Wikipedia about Prefabricated homes which would help to explain the concept. (Whereas there is no "kithouse" article.) Kierant 14:46, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
