Notability

Does not meet WP:SOLDIER as the highest rank achieved was Oberst and commanded a division in the very last month of the war when it's most likely did not qualify as "significant body of troops in combat". Sig RS coverage not found: link.

A de.wiki article exists but it's very unconvincing for notability citing to genealogical records and the Knight's Cross award listing.

Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect. In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. The articles of these recipients are being redirected to alphabetical lists. K.e.coffman ( talk) 18:59, 18 January 2017 (UTC) reply
