The description of the numerous subdividings of the original Albany County ultimately into Wayne has been extensively reduced. Although very interesting, the detail seems more appropriate as a subpage or a section of History of New York State. I will look for an opportunity to add it to that article, thus preserving someone's interesting work.
Also, I simplified the description of Anthony Wayne. He was honored more for his Revolutionary War accomplishments and his subsequent political career than his Northwest Indian War efforts. Also, the resulting treaties with the Native Americans appear to focus more on territories west of New York, so I coudln't find confirmation of the statement that the Treaty of Greenville helped form New York state. More information is welcome, however.
