I really don't understand why people keep removing picture galleries from the pages of Wikipedia. Could someone please explain the logic?

I came today to see the page, photos and layout are all messed up.-- Mark v1.0 04:31, 18 July 2007 (UTC) I'm going to try to delete the photo advertisements. Ok Its back to normal, but I think the page had far more content in the past.-- Mark v1.0 04:34, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I like the photo's, if you cut out the ads, and place them properly in the page no one can object.-- Mark v1.0 04:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC) "Heather" was created to put ads in I believe, with a one day, of the 13th history. Testing timestamp being calibrated now-- Mark v1.0 05:06, 18 July 2007 (UTC) Testing timestamp 2nd try-- Mark v1.0 05:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC) Conclusion , you can't fix the timestamp calibration-- Mark v1.0 05:09, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I removed self-promoting links for non-authoritative websites, broken/not-found pages, and links to off-topic content.

This section needs some work on grammar, but is it necessary in the first place? Nerdygeek101 ( talk) 15:21, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Some people make an alligator, a snapping turtle or some other large and long-lived creature the central feature of their water garden, which was called a fishpond when I was growing up, and I knew of at least three alligators in fishponds in the S. F. Bay Area. Water gardens have practically unlimited possibilities if one wants to create a variety of habitats for plants and animals in a limited space. Tree frogs (Hyla cinerea) like cattails. Some kinds of salamanders like to climb out and hide in wet rocks, if they are available. This article is a disappointment in a way, because the advertising has polluted it. Much more could be said about the animals and plants in a well-planned water garden. We need to find the right sources. 72.179.53.2 ( talk) 01:39, 21 June 2012 (UTC) Eric

There was a proposed split of the 'Types of water features' section to the water feature article. I didn't see a discussion, and seemed like a logical change. I moved the list to the water feature page, pulled a description for this page, and renamed the section to 'water features'. Feel free to adjust as needed.
