Because the four sources that support the first sentence, where this term is defined, are all about actions of Republican politicians that are described as The War on Women. If you can find a
reliable source that describes actions of Democrats in the same way, please share it with us.

Typically, a slogan is intended to motivate, whereas "war on women" is intended to characterize a set of Republican positions. Every time I read "slogan" in this article, it just seems wrong, unless it's really intended to be short for "join the war on women". Thoughts?
