Could someone familiar with this station take a look at this diff and other edits made by the same person. I inadvertently rolled back too far in getting rid of the "dolt" edit. Now fixing. -- Surgeonsmate 04:24, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

"Among its listeners, the station is referred to as MMR." What kind of comment/insight is that? I would say just about EVERY station's fans drop the "W" off the call signal when referring to their station. Did this person think MMR fans are unique, or figured something out that no one else has done? Asc85
Consequently, I removed that comment in the article. Asc85
I remember back during the summer of 1968, listening to WMMR, which then played Sinatra during the evening. Then, a low voice came on, announcing "This is the Marconi Experiment." It was Dave Herman. The first two songs he played were "Morning Dew", by the Greatful Dead and "Fire," by Jimi Hendrix. The rest is history.
