Is this car a hybrid vehicle, or does it have a model that is a pure battery electric vehicle? The prose is muddled and the lede does not make clear what sort of power source this car has. Tables mention both a petrol ICE engine and a motor, but nothing clarifies which engines/motors are in which models. Cheers. N2e ( talk) 01:51, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
I agree the page is confusing. The PHEV version is known as XC40 Recharge. The all electric version is mis-named on this page. It is actually named: XC40 Recharge Pure Electric P8 (This is what Volvo Customer Services UK told me last year).
Under the heading: Body and chassis, XC40 Recharge should be correctly named. The PHEV model is missing.
Under the heading: Powertrain\Electric Motors, it is not clear as the models are mis-named and (I believe) it should make it clear what motor the PHEV model uses. It does not make it clear the PHEV model only has one motor. Also under this heading, I believe this section is not needed: Hybrid drivetrain WorstDancer ( talk) 08:18, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
The union of XC40 aren't any discussion. The are are different, will be restoring and separate the C40. 5.91.93.168 ( talk) 10:21, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
