Although not the author of the "confusing" sentence, I have corrected it somewhat. Hopefully you are back in a current of light again, and out of the Strange mind frame that the poor choice of words put you in. Dr. Dan 13:25, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
This massacre of Lithuanian citizenshelped built an understanding of the evils of the Soviet occupation of Lithuania. Martyr is an appropriate word and is used in several of the references cited including the latest book published only a few months ago. All of those killed were innocent of any wrongdoing and martyr seems an appropriate word.
The image Image:Rainiai2.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
