Is it worth mentioning that according to FIFA, Woodward is considered to be England's most prolific international goal scorer with 73 goals. The basis for this is that he played for both the Full and Amateur England teams concurrently at a time when Amateur International players were the equal of the professionals in terms of abilities. see: http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/woodward-intl.html
Incidentally his first Amateur game where he scored 4 in a 15-0 defeat of France was famous for the French Score-keeper going "on strike".In those days, there were only manual scoreboards, and it often involved climbing a ladder to update the score. When the score reached 0-11, the score-keeper refused to climb the ladder anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.7.85.68 ( talk) 10:34, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
(1) A total of 45 or 46 official international goals are recognized for the England Amateurs. The question here is whether to use the FIFA match report FIFA match report Olympics 1912 GBR - HUN with Woodward 1x or the official one of the Hungarian federation MLSZ Olympics 1912 ENG 7-0 HUN with Woodward 2x (corresponds to the statistics of the RSSSF RSSF - Vivian Woodward).
(2)
In the article there is a contradiction with the infobox and in the article text in the section International Carrer:
Article text
"30 of his amateur appearances and 44 goals were in matches recognized as full internationals by FIFA and the opposition's Football Associations, though not by the FA".
Infobox
In the infobox, the following numbers are given for the international career:
1908-1912
England Amateurs 30 caps. with 44 goals
1908-1912
Great Britain 6 caps. with 5 goals
However recognized international games/goals in England Amateurs include Olympic team games/goals as as Great Britain were represented by the England Amateurs in the Olympics .
---> Therefore, the following changes have to be made, which also reflect the official statistics at the RSSSF and the official match reports of the opposing federations , when England Amateurs and Great Britain want to consider separately:
1908-1912
England Amateurs 24 caps. with 40 goals
1908-1912
Great Britain 6 caps. with 5 goals

FYI: In addition to the official 45/46 goals for England Amateurs, Vivian Woodward scored 12 unofficial goals between 1906-1914: against Ireland (4x), Wales (6x) and 2 goals in an unofficial match against Sweden on June, 12 1914
SvFF as this game was not regarded as a full international by the Svenska Futbollförbundet
That's why cited sources as
TeamGB,
Spartacus Educational or
footballandthefirstworldwar V.Woodward mention 57/58 goals for the England Amateurs.
