Todo: Add menaka and sakuntala too...

Viswamitra is NOT a saptarishi.

The Saptarishis are Atri, Brigu, Kutsya, Vasishta, Gautama, Kashyapa and Angirasa. They all share more than just being Bramharishis. While Viswamitra is a Bramharishi, he's not one of the seven. - shash 11:17, 17 October 2005 (UTC) reply

Viswamitra meaning

Viswa means Universe, and the name Viswa-mitra means Friend of Universe. Its given as "All-Friend" which is different from "Universe-Friend". It should be written as "Friend of Universe" or "Universal Friend"

Where is the section on the Rig Veda

Besides a perfunctory remark in the introduction, there is not 1 section here on Vishvamitra being an author of an entire mandala of the Rig Veda. This article also doesn't cite references, and is probably written from personal understanding of the role the main subject plays in the faith of the editors. Cleanup is required, with citations, hence my tagging it. -- Gñāna ( talk) 13:46, 2 June 2010 (UTC) reply
