Google maps shows 55 as being on the parallel road for that stretch. It is right alongside so you have to zoom in a lot. Can anyone confirm the situation on the ground? It makes more sense to me that 55 would stay off of I-66 as long as there is a parallel route. -- Walt ( talk) 14:00, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
The Gainesville Interchange project is partially complete. Gallerher Road is gone, and SR55 / John Marshall Highway is on its roadbed, and intersects with US 29 and SR 619. -- Tim Sabin ( talk) 02:19, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
