Source needed for date of birth

A reliable secondary source is needed for the date of birth of Coco. RobbieIanMorrison ( talk) 16:36, 10 December 2022 (UTC) reply

Some recent news articles state Coco's age as 31 and others 32. RobbieIanMorrison ( talk) 08:35, 11 December 2022 (UTC) reply
I'm acquainted with Violet and she was born in 1990. Unfortunately I don't have a source. I've updated the text, as the existing text also didn't give a source. -- Chriswaterguy talk 05:49, 1 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Removal of career section

Moving running an events company into "Personal Life" is at odds with how I've seen any other "Personal Life" section. 100% of the articles I've worked on consider work life to be the opposite of personal life.

I don't see why the article on Coco should be different. Pinging User:RobbieIanMorrison who made the change.

I also challenge the justification "...purpose of the article..." as the article about Coco should serve no purpose different than any other, to convey encyclopedic content similarly to other articles.

I don't have a strong feeling about this, and I like the collaboration on this page so far, thanks for that. CT55555( talk) 23:47, 14 December 2022 (UTC) reply

I would willingly accept my rearrangement being rolled back. But given that the Career section was essentially reduced to one sentence — after the bushfire motivation was moved to the section on Activism — that section looked a bit thin. So please anyone make the changes you think would improvement that material.
Regarding the term "purpose", perhaps "notable content" would have been a better choice.
I was enjoying our implicit collaboration too, @ CT55555 — mostly I work on very technical content and usually alone. RobbieIanMorrison ( talk) 00:08, 15 December 2022 (UTC) reply
I understand the reluctance to have such a short section, but out of the two imperfect choices of a short career section (stylistically poor), or career content being in personal life (simply incorrect), I favour the first one, also assuming with time the career section will expand.
I think mostly it has just been you and I editing this one, but I see the talk page getting about 7 views a day, so I'll pause and see if anyone else opines before adding a career section.
Peace. CT55555( talk) 00:12, 15 December 2022 (UTC) reply

Name capitalisation

I've changed the capitalisation from Coco to CoCo, to reflect Violet CoCo's usage/spelling. See https://www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/environment/2023/03/18/climate-activist-violet-coco-and-protest-laws and https://www.facebook.com/VioletTheActivist

I thought that seemed correct – apologies if not. -- Chriswaterguy talk 06:22, 1 February 2024 (UTC) reply

More info (but not from WP:RS)

I suppose the nature of an activist is that a lot of the writing about them will be from non-neutral sources. They still might be interesting though, for anyone doing more work on the article. E.g.
