I freaked out

If I'm watching a video I expect to see video ads interlaced. However today (at dictionary.com) there were multiple full motion high resolution videos loading up on the page for purposes of advertisements. I'd like to see alternative perspectives here... eg. waste of internet capacity. This is probably just going to drive people to seek out ad blocking software, which is probably a good thing.
