Hi User:Paul_012, thanks for adding more detail on his early life. It had been troubling me that I couldn't find any record of his military service or awards in the London Gazette but I saw that the source you used stated that his surname was sometimes spelt Jaques. I've no found his records (his middle name was Henry also). I'll dump them here for now but look to add them in to the article when I can:
