I don't know what is the best way to merge or to link both articles. M.Dubois

The vestry committee was a major part of local government for several centuries and it is not appropriate to have it as a heading in an article which starts with the vestry room. Suggest splitting vestry and vestry committee Dougsim ( talk) 06:40, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
With only passing mention of the modern (substantial) meaning and operational definition of vestry in various other denominations, this article needs expanding to reflect the evolution of the vestry from the original English model to include its successor organs in disparate denominations and nations.
