This is a strange article. It introduces a complex subject (variance reduction), describes it as consisting of 5 parts, but then only discusses one of these parts (common random numbers) while linking to other wikipedia entries for the other four. I agree the title of this section should be "Variance Reduction by Common Random Numbers". It is a misleading title that could lead to confusion and may cause users to miss the vast body of information on Variance Reduction methods on Wikipedia. I don't know much about different variance reduction methods, or even about umbrella sampling, but from what I understand umbrella sampling is a variance reduction method, so why isn't it mentioned in the article? Is there a reason for that? — Kri ( talk) 02:09, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
