A new survey has been created to resolve whether or not the University System of Maryland campus in College Park should be refered to simply as "University of Maryland". This poll also proposes an amendment to Wikipedia:Naming conventions to address similar ambiguities at other schools. Dragons flight 18:48, Mar 27, 2005 (UTC)
I added the template, because there are 12 Citation Needed templates on the page, some on very important statements made in the article. The statement in the lead sounds very ambiguous, and without a citation, probably should be removed soon: It comprises some of the oldest professional schools in the nation and world. How does a school being founded in the 1800's give it this distinction "in the nation and the world"? Definitely untrue... Nasa-verve ( talk) 12:04, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
